STARDRIVE:Liberty

STARDRIVE:Liberty is the proposed title for the next novel in the STARDRIVE series. Liberty will deal with the creation and settlement of a colony on one of the planets discovered in STARDRIVE:Promethea. The ideas to be explored in this new novel concern the creation of a new Constitution based on defined principles guaranteeing individual freedom and limited government, setting up a Colonial Government expressly limited to the functions of external defense and internal criminal and civil justice, developing a new justice system where the Constitutionally defined principles and case-specific evidence are the only considerations for legal decisions, the development of an economy based on laissez-faire capitalism, exploring a new and alien world, settlement of this world using the radical, new technology invented in STARDRIVE:Promethea, and the society that might develop in such an environment.
